BIOGRAPHY
My name is Kuchiko Nogi. I am from Hokkaido, Japan. For as long as I can remember, I have always loved to be in front of people. I used to be an actor. However, self-expression in the theater and in life was a struggle. When I got married, it became even more difficult for me both physically and mentally to be involved in the theater. As my whole life I have wanted to create and express something. It was a very difficult time of happiness and depression for me until I found photographic expression. This form of art gave me strength. I feel happy of being able to enjoy life and create through it. Honestly, I believe that the role of the artist is to embody. By showing the strength of what the people who lived in a certain time period felt. The strength to be a proof that you were living in that era. It's about each of us being able to live confidently and freely. It is to continue to create. Accordingly, my dream is to bring the happiness of each of these people together, to learn, to nurture, and to create something new.
