BIOGRAPHY

I like to work with various translucent screens. The effects are really created at the time of the shooting: The model is behind the screen on which I add paint, water projections, pigments, and a bit of chance but no photoshop. I took a long time to approach the portrait, probably because of shyness. It is about something very intimate that this meeting of the photographer and the model. A nakedness. The portrait in painting fascinates me: the palette of colors very often improbable, the material of the painting, the touch of the painter, the theatricalization of the subject, the transfiguration...
