BIOGRAPHY
As an independent photographer, I bring deep personal investment in my work. So the first biggest difficulty was to leave my job as an employee of a large company I had in Milan to devote myself totally to photography. Now I live and work as a photographer in Milan but also in Palermo. From my perspective, Milan is wonderful for fashion photography and Palermo (my home city, by the way) is perfect for personal research. A perfect combination of two different realities. It generates a lot of curiosity in me. I love discovering something new by capturing the chemistry created with objects and revealing the emotion that imbues the image. Being curious makes me alive. My approach is based on my natural sensation. Art and creativity have always aroused very strong interest in me. I studied and worked for years as a graphic and web designer, perceiving my activity through the prism of art. I like the craftsmanship of things, I love to build and create. I'm curious about photography but also about many other things, like a child disassembling toys to build others. My professional goal is to get to know myself through photography and art. Understanding my path with the heart and not being afraid to follow it. Actually, there is so much to do every day to improve and not get lost in complaining. Working in photography is a great satisfaction for me. There are many ideas that I intend to professionally implement. Through simple and direct images I want to convey the truth, the real, natural vision of love but also the excesses and the taboos. It follows that my projects deal with contemporary sociality to separate the stereotype of beauty and the sexualized image of the naked form from everyday reality. They illustrate the freedom to manifest one’s sexual identity without fear of social prejudice and have the courage to love their own body and its imperfections without shame. Ultimately, I’m obsessed with stories of inspiring people. What’s more, I believe that life is an art in itself, so everybody who lives it with joy is an artist by definition. So living a loving life is my best artistic expression.
