Seasons Of Change

I started taking photos in 2012. I used to do gymnastics, so got a camera that could record video in slow motion so I could see myself and work on my running technique, One day I decided to take my camera to a concert it just felt great which let me to practicing photography every day.

Besides from the film look, shooting analogue makes me think harder about what I want to shoot and how I want to shoot the subject.

My biggest advice is: enjoy the process, don’t force it. Earning money with photography comes with time, if something is done with passion people will notice and also, get close to people that can help you get where you want to be.

“ Photography has helped me a lot. Some of the best and worst moments I’ve lived where thanks to photography and I grew a lot as a person. “

In my creative proces, I usually go for a mood rather than a story. I want to work on making strong stories. It will comes eventually, but step by step.

When I started, I started following people on Instagram, that I thought were "cool" because they had all of these effects on their pictures, vibrant colors, etc. Then I entered PhotoVogue and saw a new world that at first I didn’t understand, so I decided to unfollow everyone on Instagram and started following what big magazine editors and fashion companies followed until I understood the difference between good and bad photos.

“ I think studying art but not working on art, or doing something artistic on your own does not help creativity. The more you know the better. The more references you have, understanding color theory, composition, etc. It just ads to your work. “

There’s an ongoing debate between digital and analogue but i prefer film. I have a Mamiya RB67 and a Mamiya 645AF. I guess i would have to say I prefer the 645 camera because I can take more shots out of one roll and also how the camera works, it feels more comfortable to me.

“ LESS IS MORE “
