BIOGRAPHY

My name is Elena Orta, born in 1995 in Naples, Italy and raised in a small town nearby, Aversa. I have always been a creative and sensitive person, since I was a child. My love for photography started when I was a teenager, when a family friend gave me a camera so that we could take pictures on the beach during the sunset together. After high school, I enrolled to study Architecture at the University of Caserta, but devoted my free time to improving my photography skills. I started working for a Photography studio in 2014 where I shot weddings and other events. I left University in 2016 to follow my real dream of becoming a photographer. Later on I wanted to have experiences abroad and only last year (2019) I had the chance to move to Amsterdam. It was a leap in the dark, but now I can say that I’m truly feeling inspired by this city. My work includes creative and portrait photography, combined with fashion and the theme of intimacy. I shoot with both digital and analogue cameras. I have a strong passion in my quest for beauty in the deepest sense, which is moved by a strong need to impress human acts, feelings, diversity, and details.
