BIOGRAPHY

I am a photographer Ekaterina Kozlova. I am an artist and psychologist by education - I have an art school and 5 years of psychology at St. Petersburg State University. I have been in photography for 11 years now, and since 2018 I have been taking continuous training in photography and contemporary art. My work has always been associated with visual art: since the time of art school, I won prizes in competitions in painting, and later in photography. For the last few years I have been doing contemporary art-fashion photography with elements of provocation. It is important for me to show the beauty of a person in particular through his body, but at the same time I use bodies not as a sex object, but as an art object and simply as an object. It is also important to destigmatize various manifestations (for example, I have a project aimed at destigmatizing menstruation) and expand the concept of a norm, which is rather narrow in Russian society.
