BIOGRAPHY

The mountains, the sky, and water; have surrounded me and captured my imagination my entire life. Raised by my grandparents on a small farm in British Columbia I never spent much time indoors. I received my first camera from my grandfather when I was five and he taught me how to see the world through that lens. My relationship to art is from nature, and I believe nature is the inspiration of all true art. I would describe my art as a meeting place of photography and painting. All photography is a reflection of reality; it is not realistic, but representative. I look to natural forms that provide both order and chaos, sculpting shapes out of light.
